Here’s a very recent piece of ours that not too long ago found a home in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. It’s one of our bespoke glass splashbacks, and it’s an incredibly scenic piece inspired by an equally scenic view, as the customer in question was looking to have the view at the back of their house translated to fused glass art – complete with some gorgeous artistic flair, of course!

Ross-on-Wye itself is full of stunning views just like the one you see pictured in this blog, and we loved taking a look around while we were there. It’s definitely a hidden gem and, for those in the know, a must visit spot away from the bustle of more well known locations like the Cotswolds. There’s just as much to find nestled away here, if not more!

The incredible view from the customer’s house inspired the design of the glass!

The design of the splashback, then, is a lush and quietly vibrant one, bringing a touch of nature into the kitchen with all of the unique quirks of fused glass art. Amongst the shades of green that make up the shape of a climbing hill, there are plenty of colours which make the piece bloom with life and create the image of flowers, long blades of grass and more. White accents complete the look of the panel, making this a truly lovely sight to behold.

When the splashback was fully installed in situ, the end result really had to be seen to be believed. If you’d love to get your hands on one of our incredible bespoke glass splashbacks, make sure you don’t wait to pick up the phone or drop us an email as soon as you can. We here at The House of Ugly Fish are ready and waiting to bring your ideal design to life, no matter what size or shape it may take.
