This fused glass tree of life triptych hangs in the newly built Jersey Hospice. It measures 2.6 m x 1.3 m. The design and colours were a result of discussions with the management, the staff and the hospice minister. The symbolism of the tree of life was very important to the hospice for obvious reasons. Lisa included some ethereal butterflies rising up from the tree. These represent the many souls who pass through the hospice.

The Jersey Hospice is an impressive building. It provides a calm and caring environment for its patients. We were most impressed by the beautiful gardens at the back of the building. Patients can walk from their rooms directly out to the gardens which have been thoughtfully landscaped to make the most of a stunning sea view. It was an honour to have been asked to do the artwork for the prayer room. This is where patients and relatives can come to meditate, pray or sit in quiet contemplation. It is hoped that the glass artwork will enhance their experience.
The delivery and installation was carried out by the House of Ugly Fish.
