The Dalaman design splashback worked perfectly with this setting. The black pipe was mirrored at the other end by a thicker black glass on the splashback design. This balanced the design. The background colour was influenced by the warm wood tones in the kitchen furniture and the beams in the ceiling. There are hints of teal and autumn red in the main strips, which feature in the curtain fabric. The other colours in the strips are; creams, russets, dark drowns and ochres, as well as gold highlights. The result is a statement piece which makes an interesting backdrop to the grand cream and black AGA. We were thrilled to be able to create a glass art piece for this beautifully finished period kitchen. The clients told us how they felt the splashback had always been there, which was a huge compliment. Before and after images are shown below.
