The colours of this bespoke glass splashback were chosen specifically to complement the unique cornflower blue of the AGA range cooker beneath it, which presented a great opportunity to create something beautiful. As a result, the background of the glass is more of a cool blue rather than a sea blue, depicting a country scene rather than the more watery scenes that we’ve been creating recently.

Tree of Life designs are always full of details, and this particular example is bursting with them. The most interesting part of the design is definitely the six butterflies you can see at various points throughout the piece. Each butterfly represents one of the customers’ six grandchildren, and the customers themselves are actually hidden away in the design as well. The idea is that they would always be there to be discovered by future generations, and we love how it turned out!

A matching fused glass bowl was created to match the central splashback, both to complement and to enhance the effect of having the centrepiece in the kitchen. It was created with six flowers as part of the design, continuing the theme of six grandchildren!
