The design depicts a snowy scene set against a warm golden yellow sky, with mountains and hills that rise and fall throughout. Do you recognise the location shown? It’s a famous landmark close to Whistler, Canada, known as the Black Tusk. As a volcanic spire and a popular hiking destination, its certainly a dramatic and very scenic image to incorporate into a splashback, and the customer was eager to see it brought to life in the medium of fused glass.

You can see the end result pictured above, along with a wider scene blanketed in fresh white snow. Lisa had a lot of fun recreating the landscape in a way that would look great in the customer’s kitchen, matching up with the tiles below.
