This fused glass art splashback was done for a client in the scenic seaside town of Lyme Regis. It’s a pretty grand affair, measuring in at about 2.3 metres by 1 metre, so we thought we’d just have to put it here on our blog. What’s more, we thought that this time we would include before and after images to show the kitchen’s transformation. What do you think? We personally adore the end results, and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

Fused Glass Art Devon Boats 2
Here’s how the kitchen looked before the addition of our fused glass art. See the difference for yourself!

The design of the piece itself features a wide range of colours includes blues and oranges to highlight the clear sky and provide a perfect accent for the water. Sailing boats make their way one by one across the piece, and on one of the side panels you can see a crab on his merry way as well! That little fellow was added as a personal feature, requested by the client, and it’s a perfect example of the kind of bespoke little details you can add to your very own piece of glass.

From their house you can see the view shown on the splashback, so it’s almost like a window to the outside world that can shine bright no matter what the weather might bring! Of course, the entire design here was a product of client input, so you can expect to have the same level of control when you invest a piece of glass from The House of Ugly Fish.

There’s simply nowhere better to get your hands on fully bespoke fused glass art that’s created just for you, so make sure you don’t wait to get in contact as soon as you can. We just can’t wait to get started on something unique – come and let us know all about what your perfect piece of glass looks like today!
