An unusual splashback in an awkward space, this kitchen splashback in Harrogate is based on the beautiful Aurora Borealis, otherwise known as the Northern Lights. Although you’ll definitely have to travel further north than Yorkshire, it doesn’t matter for our client as the lights are already there in the kitchen! This small, compact fitted kitchen had two small areas to fill with the glass splashback, which would usually be a problem for some. However, this made it ideal for a landscape design, where the horizon disappears into the corner. This creates the illusion of depth and space on the glass splashback and helps it to stand out. The client’s commission has both the benefits of being glass art and also the benefit of featuring the breathtaking Aurora Borealis, so there’s definitely going to be some envious neighbours!
