Did you all manage to witness the partial solar eclipse on Friday? It was an amazing event and one well worth putting off work for an hour or so. Some parts of the UK had a clearer view of the eclipse than others and thank god Manchester had a great view of the wondrous event. There was some clouds just before, but luckily they partied enough for us to get some pretty amazing shots of the moon passing over the sun. If you didn’t manage to catch a glimpse of the eclipse then unfortunately there won’t be another here in the UK for a good few years; 2090 to be exact. In case you missed it, here’s a shot we took of the partial solar eclipse on Friday.
Pretty impressive isn’t it, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this was a little slither of the moon! As a tribute to the magnificent, natural wonder that happened up in the skies, we thought we’d share some of our fused glass art and glass splashbacks that have a space/cosmic vibe to them. These are pieces of fused glass art and glass splashbacks that have been made and installed already, but who knows, we may be tempted to create some new planetary themed work in light of the eclipse.
What do you think? Do any of these fused glass art pieces or glass splashbacks get you in the mood to look up? Or do they inspire you to commission your own piece of fused glass art for your home? If so, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
