For today’s blog, we’re bringing you a stunning bespoke fused glass wall panel from Windlesham, Surrey. It’s a corker of a fused glass art piece, so we’re understandably keen to share a few words about it.
It depicts a beautiful and dramatic landscape that sets a serious mood, with dark land rising against a cloudy night sky. Houses can be seen in the foreground, with lighter blue shades, greys and rustic red accents bringing the close shore to life. The moon hangs high in the sky, illuminating everything with white accents.
The idea for the design actually originated from a real location in Scotland called Wester Ross, which was a place that the customers were very fond of. They were looking to have a particular view brought to life in the medium of fused glass art, and Lisa suggested a painterly style inspired by the aesthetics of a few famous Scottish painters. This is where the dark and moody atmosphere of the pieces originated, needless to say, as it pays tribute to the dramatic art that she was skilfully evoking.
