Lido di Venezia is an 11 kilometre long sandbar in the Venetian Lagoon, home to a myriad of cultural spectacles and a wide variety of tourist attractions perfect for any budding holidaymakers. For many, it’s the absolute best place to stay when visiting the city.
While we were in Venice really getting to our roots and visiting all of the many places like Murano where glassmaking played such a significant role historically, we definitely left no stone unturned when it came to tracking down sources of inspiration. That led us to the hotel you see pictured above, a stunning building situated on the Lido di Venezia. We were there to check something out, however, rather than to check in!
We’re talking about the fused glass art that sits outside it, of course! As you can see by the photo that Paul captured, it makes for a pretty impressive sight, and we can only imagine the work that must have gone into it. Seeing it in person definitely gave us plenty of ideas for our own craft, so look out for some particularly inspired pieces making their way to our portfolio soon!
In the meantime, why not take the time to have a look through the pieces that are already there? You may just feel inspired to get one like it, or you might spot a design that you want to have slightly altered. Because every single one of the glass pieces we create can be made fully bespoke, the only limit is your imagination. From splashbacks and wall art to the smallest drinks coasters, it’s entirely up to you!
After all, we here at The House of Ugly Fish specialise in creating gorgeous fused glass art that never fails to impress. Make sure you don’t wait to get in contact as soon as you can. We’re always on standby to create the perfect piece of glass just for you!
