If you’re looking for something a little more exciting than plain coloured glass splashbacks, then hopefully the incredible fused glass art designs we have in store here at The House of Ugly Fish are just the thing for you. Every single piece we create can be made completely bespoke, ensuring that the end result looks just like you wanted it to. Make sure you don’t wait to pick up the phone or drop us an email as soon as you can, and hopefully the next piece (or pieces!) we create will be destined to find a place in your home.
For those in the know when it comes to decorating the home, splashbacks are an absolute must have! Kitchens and bathrooms are getting rid of the old fashioned look of tiled walls and trading it for something entirely more modern, resulting in a trend that’s continuing to transform the aesthetics of homes across the country. Splashbacks are now a fairly common sight in kitchens and bathrooms from Scotland all the way down to Cornwall and just about everywhere in between, but that doesn’t mean that innovation has slowed down one bit. For example, we here at The House of Ugly Fish are constantly coming up with new designs and ways to enhance the impact of a splashback! When compared with traditional coloured glass splashbacks, we think the differences are easy to see!
The first thing to notice is just how much detail goes into one of our fused glass splashbacks. Most coloured splashbacks consist of a single colour or shade applied to the entire panel in a very smooth and even way, a look that can definitely have a big impact in many spaces, but we think that there’s so much more potential for a splashback to stand out.
Just take a look through our incredibly diverse portfolio and see for yourself. We’re always being inspired by a huge variety of things, and customers are always bringing us interesting ideas, so the pieces we make are constantly evolving. Even our most simple splashbacks, wall panels and accessories seem to be getting the benefit! We think this is definitely reflected in the work we’ve done in the past, as while one piece could be a relatively simple Dalaman design with a few colours, the other might be a grand splashback with a very vivid and bright wave like the one pictured above – and that’s just scratching the surface!
