This gorgeous kitchen splashback was a piece of bespoke fused glass art which very recently went to a home in Corwen, Denbighshire. We thought we’d use today’s blog as an opportunity to show it off, as it’s a fantastic example of how our glass can be fully customised and packed full of one-of-a-kind personalisations.

Rather than one single panel sitting behind the cooker, the customers were looking to have a long scene created with a thin piece going along the entire length of the back wall. It was a great idea and a unique challenge, which gave us the opportunity to create an almost panoramic view within the glass.

The design is a light, bright countryside scene which pairs up with the colour of the AGA range cooker. It has a strong pastoral influence which is indicative of the rural location of the house, which of course was surrounded by fields, grass and nature. It’s bursting with life, with robins, pheasants, bees and more!

Did you spot the sheep? The customer requested that we insert the sheep based on a free standing piece of glass art that she already owned, matching the design up so that they would look great together, and our fully bespoke process ensured that the customer was able to get the level of customisation she wanted. The end result is a brilliantly eye-catching display which really speaks for itself.

If you feel that a brand new piece of bespoke fused glass art is just the thing for your home, make sure you get in touch with The House of Ugly Fish as soon as you can. Taking a look through our full portfolio should provide plenty of inspiration as to what’s possible in the medium of fused glass, as we have a full gallery of work that we’ve completed in the past. From there, it’s simply a case of letting us know what your very own bespoke piece will look like!
