This stunning glass splashback found a home in Gidea Park, Romford, but it depicts a location a little bit further away. The design is actually based on a view from the customers’ holiday home in Deauville, France, set in a location that maybe a few of our readers might recognise. It’s a property close by to the famous seafront and beach that’s scattered with colourful umbrellas, a sight often seen in many postcards, and now in this splashback. Based on an image provided, the idea was to recreate an artistic interpretation of the highly recognisable beach.

Lisa made sure that the piece would have a tremendously picturesque and highly realistic appearance. From the shining white sand to the clear blue skies above, looking at this beautiful glass splashback is almost like looking into another window that leads to another place entirely. The piece fits in with the gorgeous neutrality of the kitchen décor, complementing the modern white styling with a splash of subtle colours. The vivid highlights of each umbrella provide exciting highlights all around, making for a striking and unmissable centrepiece.

Needless to say, we adore the way that the glass looks in situ. If you’d love to achieve the same look in your kitchen, or in another space entirely within your home, why not get your hands on your very own piece of personalised fused glass art?
