This stunning bespoke glass splashback was delivered to a home in Dunstable, Luton. The design depicts an overcast beach and landscape, looking out across the water. Three sail boats make their way from left to right. Speckled white dots create surf atop waves that come ashore, and darker hues create reflections on the horizon for added contrast. The blue of the water stands out against the moody neutral palette of the piece, but blends perfectly with the décor of the kitchen.

Needless to say, the customer was very happy with the end result and so were we!

Glass pieces like these always take on a very painterly style and tend to look almost as if they’ve been created with paint and brush on canvas. This splashback, however, was created almost completely out of enamel powders. Our resident in-house artist Lisa Villarospo is an expert when it comes to creating that painted effect, after all, so we wouldn’t blame you for thinking this was a painting.

You’ll find that painterly effect in a lot of pieces throughout our portfolio, and there’s absolutely no reason any piece we make for you wouldn’t be able to take on the same kind of style. At the same time, you’re free to decide if you want to go in a completely different direction. All of our art is made from scratch and by hand, so we’re free to personalise every panel as much as is needed.
