Here at The House of Ugly Fish, we often get asked if we’re able to make fused glass art for properties beyond the borders of the UK, so we thought we’d answer that question with a blog.

To be clear, the answer to that question is yes, of course! Just take the image heading this blog as an example. It showcases three sculpted waves that left our workshop and found themselves on a four-thousand mile journey over the North Atlantic. Eventually, they found their way to a beautiful home in Florida, all the way overseas in the United States! We love how the colour of the glass matches similar shades in the room, creating a very strong theme and a stunning look.

Or take this piece on the left, which found its way to a kitchen in France. The three panels form a continuous design that creates a gorgeous landscape, helping the back wall look more like a window into another world entirely.

Fields of lavender stretch toward the horizon as far as the eye can see, while the warm sun overhead shines bright against streaking clouds and the clear sky behind. Each piece is made in a beautiful painterly style, which allowed Lisa to really flex her creative muscles and call on her background in traditional art. You can really see how the powders were used to emulate a paintbrush!

Since all of our glass is created from scratch with a fully bespoke process, your own fused glass art can look exactly the way you want it to. Take inspiration from the pieces in this blog, or come up with your very own ideas. Your imagination truly is the limit!

If you live abroad and you’re also looking to get your hands on a piece of fused glass art or two from The House of Ugly Fish, there’s never been a better time to get in touch. If you’re a little closer than that and you live safely within the borders of the UK, you’re more than welcome to come and see what has so many people talking. Make sure you don’t wait to pick up the phone or drop us an email as soon as you can, and you’ll be on the way to getting your very own bespoke glass in no time at all.
