Featuring another one of our bespoke glass splashbacks, today’s blog post comes to you courtesy of a home in Dorset that recently had some of our fused glass art delivered and installed. It’s a beautiful piece that perfectly fits the back wall of the kitchen, comprised of three panels altogether that seamlessly join into one big design.

The specific scene you can see pictured across all three panels is a stylised view of Hengistbury Head, a scenic headland that’s famous for many reasons – not least of all the incredible scenery that it offers. One very identifying feature of the view is the very recognisable multicoloured beach huts lining the shoreline. These make for a central element of this design, standing out as vivid and colourful highlights against a dramatic overcast sky.

The customer also wanted the glass to incorporate a number of things on the water that the area is known for. You should be able to spot a number of yachts moored in the marina, as well as a couple of other boats out on the water with their sails taut in the wind. On the left of the design, a few paddleboarders enjoy the day, while on the right a little seal pops his head out of the water to add a little humour to the piece.

Our fully bespoke process ensured that the three separate panels could perfectly fit the space between the countertop and the cupboards above, while also seamlessly joining together. We were able to take custom measurements from the customer and cut the glass down to the size it needed to be, all while providing glass art that nobody else can say they have in their own home. That process could be the very same for your own fused glass art, so why not get in touch?
