Here’s one of our latest fused glass splashbacks, recently delivered to a home in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The customer had seen a piece that Lisa had created previously and loved the general design. They wanted to make their own a little more bespoke, of course, so they brought some great ideas to the table in order to personalise it and make it special.

As you should be able to tell from looking at the image above, the leaves on the tree were changed to a more autumnal colour palette, with warmer red and orange hues bringing the season into the kitchen.

They also wanted to add a whole handful of life to the piece, giving the Tree of Life a lot more activity. Look closely and you should be able to see a squirrel happily perched on a branch, along with a robin and a blackbird up high in the tree. Down below, her beloved pet dog also makes an appearance, happily strolling among the colourful flowers that line the bottom of this very natural fused glass splashback.

The ultimate aim was to create something that would be a focal point for the kitchen, and the first thing that anyone would notice upon entering. We think that the panel certainly achieves that goal. The customer was very happy with the end result, needless to say!
