We’re back with another absolutely gorgeous piece of fused glass art, and this one really deserves to be featured front and centre on our website. As you might be able to tell, the panel was created from a picture of the sunset at Morar, a small village just west of Fort William in Scotland, and the design aims to take you there every time you look at it. It’s a real beauty, so we’ll tell you a little bit about it!
The design is fully bespoke, painting a vivid landscape. A deep blue colour creates the deep waters out in the bay, using a beautiful shade to really help everything stand out. In addition, you should be able to see where dark black powder creates the silhouette of the land rising and falling, helping to add contrast and really draw your eyes to the beautiful sky sitting above the horizon.
It’s not just the design that makes this panel so special, however. The customer’s wife had passed away in December, and so they wanted to give the piece a very special meaning. The location was where the customer’s wife grew up as a child, and together they had managed to snap a stunning picture of the sunset during a visit together. Now, that picture and all of the memories associated with it are forever immortalised in the medium of fused glass art, and the piece has a truly special place in both home and heart.
