Here at The House of Ugly Fish, we’re kicking off the week in style! Taking the spotlight today is this beautiful piece of fused glass art, recently delivered to a home in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. The design of this kitchen glass splashback begins with a gorgeously subtle light green shade, which continues throughout the surrounding panels present in the kitchen. The leaves of the tree display a wide palette of exciting and varied complementary colours, taken from all across the colour spectrum.

The life in a Tree of Life is always important, so it should come as no surprise that this particular example is absolutely brimming with it. There are plenty of details to be found no matter where you look, and you should be able to spot them in the pictures above – although you definitely have to see the piece to really appreciate the depth of the beauty found across all of the layers of the glass.

Butterflies flutter about above, while bees buzz through the air below. There’s even a red crested bird perched on one of the branches. To finish it all off, there are carefully sculpted blades of grass running along the bottom of the piece, lovingly topped off with plentiful amounts of colour in the form of blossoming flowers.
