This custom fused glass art splashback found a home in Salisbury, Wiltshire, where it went behind the sink in one of the bathrooms inside the customer’s house. The room was already splendid to look at, but it needed something to fill an overly bare space on the wall where a piece of glass would look perfect. We got the call, and we were soon getting to work!

The customer sent us an image of a place that was incredibly close to her heart, looking to have a specific view worked into the design that would best represent the location. The scene is as you see pictured above, with a tree leant over from past breezes and a long stretch of shoreline. There were many details and specific nuances to capture, but we were up for the task.

Together with our glass artist and resident creative genius Lisa Villarospo, the customer decided on a navy blue denim palette that would compliment the warm tones and golden metallics of the surrounding space. As you should be able to tell from the picture, this led to a monochromatic single-colour design which utilised shades and contrast. That was certainly a challenge to develop, but the end result was absolutely incredible and really makes for a unique statement piece you wouldn’t find in any other home.
