Commissioned for a house in Kent, this is a very unique looking splashback designed in an urban graffiti style. A mix of grey colours are skillfully employed to create the washed, scuffed texture forming the concrete background, with brighter colours making up the effect of spray paint. By smudging and lightening the colour in places, the effect is remarkably convincing and adds a whole new level of quality to the piece. On the top layer, in the darkest black, the main text of the piece is put dead centre and holds its own ground whilst blending and matching the rest of the design. The client sent in an image to be recreated so it could be employed as a kitchen splashback, and they were very pleased with the result.
