The customer behind this incredible splashback in Kintore, Aberdeenshire, wanted to capture a specific landscape in the medium of fused glass. The specific scene was the view from their house, comprising tall mountains and wide, verdant fields complete with trees and hedgerows. Lisa created a painterly take on the view in a Scottish colourist style, with a heavy focus on creating texture with both powder and glass.
It’s a very large piece, creating a fantastic amount of drama in the kitchen with greens, purples, oranges and more going into the design. It’s certainly a very unique way to bring some art into the heart of the home!
