Stepping into the spotlight for today, this stunning and very unique bespoke kitchen splashback was a recent creation for a home in Sheriff Hutton, Yorkshire. It’s a piece that does things a little differently, putting a one-of-a-kind spin on the Tree of Life design that should be very familiar to anyone who’s seen our work before. It incorporates a full scene into the panel, filling in a world of detail behind the tree itself!

The background is created out of powders of course, but you’d be mistaken for thinking that it had been painted on in watercolour. Our in-house artist Lisa made sure to bring out the painterly qualities of the design, blending all the many shades together to create the gorgeous sight you see pictured above. That wide range of colours perfectly complement the mix of cool and warm shades found in the kitchen décor. Specifically, they were designed to match the beautiful marine blue of the central range cooker, a choice that the customer made.

Every single leaf on the tree was cut by hand, allowing for a carefully chosen selection of complementary colours to really add that finishing touch, and there are plenty of details not to be missed! We love the sense of depth that the piece conveys, with each layer of glass working together to add a stunning amount of detail.
