Here’s a recently delivered piece that definitely brings a scenic touch into the home! The customers behind the piece were looking to capture one of their very favourite views in one of our bespoke glass splashbacks. If you’re familiar with the location, you may recognise that it is indeed the gorgeous Scottish highland scenery of Glen Coe!

This piece proved to be quite difficult to make, as the panel needed to be made in a painterly style using only enamel powders. Lisa, our resident glass artist and all-around creative powerhouse stepped up to the challenge, however, and soon set about creating a gorgeous scene that would evoke the brush strokes of traditional paint on canvas. Her background in more conventional mediums certainly proved useful, and the end result is definitely something spectacular.

Deep green shades form the sweeping hills and grass, while darker shades paint the rising heights of the glen. A beautifully evocative sky fills the background, with a clear blue patch leading into lifelike clouds brought to life with all manner of greys and whites. There’s even a road down below, cutting a path through. Look closely, and you’ll be able to see a car making its way along the road. It shouldn’t be too hard to guess who’s driving!

If you’d love to get your hands on something just like this, then you should already know that you’re in the right place.
