Here’s another piece from the past for you, and this one is from one of our absolute favourite places to visit. This incredible white and red dalaman splashback was created for clients in Coupar Angus, which is a town in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. They had been interested in getting their hands on a piece since seeing us five years ago at a Homebuild show and regretted not making a purchase right then and there. Unsatisfied with the simple style of traditional coloured glass splashbacks, they wouldn’t settle for less than a House of Ugly Fish original!
They got in contact after the time was right to pick up a piece of gorgeous fused glass art from us, and things took off in no time at all. Our resident glass artist Lisa heard what they were looking for, discussed the design and the colours of the piece, and soon set about bringing it to life. Once all was said and done, and the end result was completed, we just couldn’t turn down the opportunity to head up to Scotland and fit the glass ourselves. You shouldn’t find that at all surprising if you’ve ever read our blog before!
The area is also very well known for its soft fruit, so we took the time to take a trip out to find some of the delicious strawberries and other delights on offer. All in all, it only made us love the area more!
Here at The House of Ugly Fish, we’re always looking for the next piece we get to create, and the next place we get to travel to as a result. Don’t just settle for coloured glass splashbacks if you’re interested in something a little more exciting, and make sure you don’t wait to get in contact if what we have to offer is just the right thing for your home. Getting in touch is as easy as picking up the phone and giving us a call, after all!
