Depicting a snowy scene set against the warm tones of a golden yellow sky, with mountains and hills which rise and fall throughout, this gorgeous handmade glass splashback was a very recent piece completed for a home in Windlesham, Surrey.

Do you recognise the landmark pictured in the design? It’s a famous sight in Whistler, Canada, known as the Black Tusk. It’s a volcanic spire and a popular hiking destination, so its inclusion into the splashback is certainly one way to add a certain excitement and dramatic flair. The customer was very eager to see it brought to life via the medium of fused glass art, too.

You can see the end result pictured at the top of this blog, pictured alongside a wider scene blanketed in fresh white snow. Lisa had a blast recreating the landscape in a way that would look great in the customer’s kitchen. It’s almost like a window into another world, and the colours even in the most neutral areas have been tinted to subtly match up with the tiles below.

If you’d like to recreate the same effect in your own home, you only need to let us know about your ideas for the ideal design and we’ll be able to let you know all about how what we do could work for you. Don’t be shy!
