Here’s another one of our bespoke glass splashbacks from a little while ago! The client behind this rather grand Tree of Life wanted a piece to be placed behind their AGA range cooker, complete with a black upstand to match. Of course, every single piece of fused glass art we make is bespoke and created by hand, so it was no problem for us to create a panel that not only matched the theme of the kitchen but was highly personalised for the client.

The end result found its way to their home in Totnes, Devon, and you can see it nestled in situ above. What do you think?  It’s been a while since we last saw it, but it’s every bit as beautiful as we remember. In fact, it may have gotten even better looking!

Obviously a picture is worth a thousand words, but we thought we’d add a few of our own talking about some of the details of the design. Starting with the background, there’s a huge amount of texture and subtle shading to be found in between the leaves, branches and bubbles. The tree itself is created from solid colour, with lines of contrast that make the wood look natural and appropriate for the tone of the piece. The leaves themselves can’t be ignored, either, especially when there are so many of them to be seen here. A tremendously wide palette of colours can be seen on offer, creating a vibrant cloud of complementary hues that bring the whole room to life.

If you love the way that this piece looks, why not look into getting something just like it?
