The Dalaman is one of our most consistently popular fused glass art designs, making regular appearances in our portfolio on pieces of all shapes and sizes. We’re always making new examples to show off, and each new piece is always changing and evolving the design as customers bring brand new ideas to the table. For today’s blog, however, we thought we’d have something of a Throwback Tuesday and look back into the vaults for yet more of those glass splashbacks that might have been forgotten.

With that in mind, feast your eyes on this beauty! This absolutely breathtaking glass splashback was delivered to a property in Upminster, where it found a place behind the cooker. Needless to say, its a fantastic example of the Dalaman design at its best.

The primary colour of the splashback is a deep red that can be seen throughout the main piece and the surrounding panels. It’s a gorgeous shade that instantly grabs your attention and injects a huge amount of colour into an otherwise very neutral space. A bold horizontal line of contrast, acting as a spine for the horizontal elements to arrange themselves along, runs through the centre of the panel. It’s a signature feature of the Dalaman and this piece was no exception to the rule! What’s more, if you look closely, you should be able to see how each horizontal element has its own unique texture and colours to show off.

Glass Splashbacks Made to Fit

Two surrounding panels were made to fit the alcove and create a seamless look, and shapes were cut out of the glass in order to accomodate the sockets on the wall. The end result, as you see pictured above, was a perfect fit. There was definitely no question as to what the centrepiece of this kitchen was!

Whether you’re on the lookout for a Dalaman design just like this one, another one of our classic styles or a design that’s completely original and based on your own ideas, our bespoke glass splashbacks are guaranteed to make a perfect fit for your home no matter what.
