This gorgeous bespoke fused glass splashback recently found a new home in Grappenhall, Cheshire. The customers were looking to have a bespoke fused glass splashback created to complement an existing piece of art in their home that depicted a crashing wave. Describing their ideas to Lisa, they outlined an abstract design that would be similarly aquatic in theme and make for a perfect match.

The design is as you see pictured below. It’s a classic twist on our abstract wave style, only arranged in a unique way that we think is very reminiscent of seaweed streaming upwards from the sea floor. A huge range of blue hues, mixed with some subtle greens, come together to create both the background and the main elements of the glass.

The spotlights in the cooker hood shine down to highlight the piece’s best qualities!

We love how the glass looks in situ, especially when the lights are dimmed and the spotlights in the cooker hood are left to focus everyone’s attention on the new centrepiece of the kitchen. The light shining down from above really helps to accentuate and highlight the three dimensional qualities of the glass. Needless to say, the customers were delighted with the result!

If you adore the way this glass panel looks in the kitchen, you could certainly achieve the same effect with a fused glass splashback of your own that’s tailor made for you and the space you have in mind.
